On October 7, HWPL’s Global03 Branch held the “Signboard Hanging Ceremony of the HWPL World Alliance of Religions’ Peace (WARP) Office” at Sambojeongsa Temple in Jinhae, South Korea.
The event was attended by Ven. Sambo, the Head Monk of Sambojeongsa Temple; Kang Dae Joong, Chief Branch Manager of HWPL Global 3; and Park Jae Young, Director of the Religion Department at HWPL Headquarters.
Ven. Sambo, who began collaborating with HWPL in January of this year, previously signed an MOU with HWPL Global03 and has been actively participating as a presenter in the WARP Office’s Scripture Comparison Discussions to support peace initiatives. He has also taken a lead role in HWPL-organized environmental cleanup activities, helping to preserve the local landscape.
Expressing his happiness that Sambojeongsa Temple will now serve as a space for religious unity through the WARP office signboard hanging ceremony, Ven. Sambo shared his commitment to actively participate in HWPL’s peace efforts until the day when everyone is united in peace.
In his congratulatory speech, Kang Dae Joong, Chief Branch Manager of HWPL Global03, stated, “The signboard hanging ceremony marks the fruit of many steps taken towards peace. I hope that many religious leaders will visit Sambojeongsa Temple to share in this achievement and work together to expand even greater peace initiatives.”
Moving forward, HWPL Global 3 plans to operate the WARP office actively at Sambojeongsa, utilizing it as a platform for exchange among those who aspire to peace.
