Millennium Education of Pakistan Peace Educator Training Graduation Ceremony

On December 12, 2024, a peace educator training graduation ceremony with Millennium Education was held in Pakistan. About 40 teachers who participated in this event shared their impressions and thoughts on the curriculum and participated in various activities to promote and spread a culture of peace.

Teachers from seven campuses affiliated with Millennium Education attended the event, which included presentations and discussions on how to effectively teach peace education to students.

Ms. Sara Faisal, a Millennium Education Teacher, shared her vision for peace education:

“My future peace education plans focus on helping students develop the skills and mindsets needed to promote understanding, cooperation, and conflict resolution in their personal lives and communities. I will also encourage students to understand and appreciate the perspectives of others in order to build empathy and understanding. Through storytelling, role-playing, and group discussions, they will explore different perspectives and learn methods to approach disagreements with empathy.”

Ms. Afsheen Navid, a teacher at Millennium Education, shared her thoughts:

“We will reinforce the importance of empathy and unity through group activities such as peace-themed games, banner making, and community service projects. The goal is to instill in our students the values of understanding, tolerance, and non-violence. I firmly believe that peace education is essential to building a compassionate generation, and by introducing these concepts early on, we can help students become advocates for peace in their communities and beyond.”

Mr. Muhammad Waqas Khan, a teacher at Millennium Education, explained the peace education activities, saying, “We will be doing peace-based activities where students will learn valuable lessons about peace and how to be kind and polite to their peers and others.”

The teachers’ reflections were inspiring and encouraging for all the teachers working as peace educators. The teachers who attended reflected on their respective roles and missions, and pledged to fulfill their responsibilities as peace teachers in each country. In this way, everyone promised solidarity and dedication with one heart, and the closing ceremony ended successfully.
