The peace seminar hosted by Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) was held online over four sessions from November 18 to 25. The seminar particularly addressed the Korean War and the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, discussing the necessity and possibility of achieving peace. More than 60 participants, including representatives from JKIC (Jammu Kashmir Institute of Counselling) and AMPA (All Media Press Association) Jammu kashmir regional president, as well as Dean from Central University of Kashmir, actively participated in the sessions.

The seminar began with an introduction to HWPL’s founding background and its core activities. This was followed by a meaningful time of looking back on the tragedy of war and conflict through the history of Korean war and the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, and reexamining the importance of peace. Participants also engaged in a meaningful “Peace Letter Writing”, where they experienced the practical significance of peace activities aimed at leaving a legacy of peace for future generations.

During the third session, HWPL’s global achievements in peacebuilding were discussed as “Answers to peace” capable of addressing societal challenges. Parvaiz Ahmad Nazar, representing JKIC and AMPA, shared his thoughts: “Although I felt apprehensive about joining an international platform for the first time, I gained invaluable lessons on peace. I pledge to utilize media as a tool for advancing peace initiatives.”

In the final session, we shared the process by which HWPL’s peace activities transformed a conflict region into a peaceful region, focusing on the case of Mindanao, Philippines. Dean at Central University of Kashmir, Fayaz Ahmed Nika emphasized the crucial role of neutral and impartial organizations like HWPL in achieving world peace. He stated, “Activities such as peace education, WARPO, the establishment of peace monuments, and exhibitions that promote the importance of peace to the world are highly significant. Only nations that have experienced war and conflict can truly understand the value of peace.”

This seminar instilled fresh hope in the global journey toward peace through HWPL’s vision. Participants committed to practicing and spreading peace within their respective spheres and pledged continued collaboration with HWPL.
