HWPL The 7th International Religious Leaders’ Conference
Catholic, Hindu and Muslim leaders from the Philippines, who are ardent supporters of love and peace, gathered in Manila, Philippines on September 21 to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the HWPL 9·18 Peace Conference.
The event, titled “The 7th Conference for Global Religious Leaders,” was held at the Iskon Sri Sri Radha Madhava Mandir (a Hindu Temple), and many attended both in person and online.
Conference attendees shared the results from the past year of the Religious Peace Academy and pledged, as religious leaders, to transcend religious harmony and development and contribute to global religious harmony through the Religious Peace Academy.
After the conference, the Philippine religious leaders continued with an in-depth discussion on practical strategies for achieving peace through the union of various religions within the Philippines.
Ustadh Bayan S. Radia, Imam at the Blue Mosque and Cultural Center, said: “The HWPL ceremony was a wonderful event. It provided a precious opportunity to meet, shake hands, and engage in dialogue with religious leaders of diverse faiths in pursuit of true peace for our country and the world. We are one!”
