On June 29th, a successful Global Harmony Tree-Planting Campaign aimed at promoting environmental protection and peace was held at Nandi Hills in Bangalore, India.

HWPL, IPYG, Global Kulture Organization, and the Youth of India Foundation co-hosted this event. Sixteen multinational corporations (MNCs) participated, and 250 volunteers came together to make meaningful changes for the local community and the planet.

Participants planted 250 fruit trees around Nandi Hills, contributing to climate change mitigation and environmental conservation efforts. These trees are expected to enhance biodiversity in the area, and will have a positive, long-term impact on carbon absorption and reduce the effects of climate change.

The campaign went beyond just planting trees. Participants discussed the importance of tree-planting, environmental protection, and social responsibility for sustainable development. The event provided an opportunity for corporations and local communities to explore collaborative efforts. The multinational companies involved gained an important opportunity to fulfill their social responsibilities and positively impact the community and the environment.

IPYG and HWPL emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships. Joseph Cho, general director of the IPYG Global 5 Branch, produced a video introducing IPYG and expressing gratitude to the representatives of the 16 corporations and youth leaders from all over India who gathered for the event.

“This tree-planting campaign holds deep significance beyond environmental protection. It provided a valuable opportunity for young people to actively engage in environmental protection, community development, and the global practice of peace and inclusion,” said Arun Sivag Ganesh, founder of the Global Kulture Organization. “This moment showed that planting a single tree can lead to significant change in the future.”

IPYG will continue collaborating with the Global Kulture Organization to pursue sustainable development and global cooperation. Various initiatives will continue to empower youth across the globe to overcome cultural barriers and practice peace and inclusion. A peaceful world begins with our small actions.
