Introducing the IPYG Affiliate Organization – SCEAD Foundation India

 

SCEAD Foundation India is a non-governmental organization (NGO) operating primarily in South India.

SCEAD Foundation India organizes peace summits to foster dialogue and provide a platform for students and professors from various countries to share their insight and experience with promoting peace in their respective nations. The organization also engages in tree planting activities with diplomats to promote peace and environmental sustainability and make symbolic commitments to environmental preservation.

 

 

SCEAD Foundation India provides educational opportunities for children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and helps ensure access to quality education. The NGO also runs programs to promote interfaith harmony and understanding among religious leaders and foster sustainable development.

In addition to these activities, SCEAD Foundation India runs local and international volunteer programs, offering youth opportunities to participate in community service, educational workshops, cultural exchange programs, and international events.

 

 

SCEAD Foundation India collaborates with the International Peace Youth Group (IPYG) to provide newsletters and invite youth interested in peace activities to online and offline events. Through joint peace projects with IPYG, they create platforms for schools and various institutions to engage in IPYG activities. Furthermore, they offer youth diverse opportunities to learn about peace education, conflict resolution, and global citizenship through courses, workshops, and seminars.

The Peace Ambassador Program operated in partnership with IPYG includes training programs for young leaders aspiring to become peace ambassadors in their communities. At some colleges, there are also campus peace ambassador programs for students that promote the work of IPYG. Such youth empowerment programs help young people become key agents in building and spreading peace throughout their communities.

Siju Thomas Daniel, president of SCEAD Foundation India, conveyed the following message to the youth, envisioning them as architects of tomorrow:
